Note: we reduced the price of this camera to reflect two minor issues. First, its zoom switch sometimes doesn’t snap back to the the center automatically. Second, there is a very small scratch/cleaning mark on the front lens element (this had no effect on photos in our testing).

The circa-2009 Samsung SB550 (sold as the HZ15W in some countries) is a well-designed digicam featuring a quality Schneider 10x zoom lens (35mm film equivalent: 24 ~ 240mm) with optical stabilization. It was an innovative camera when it was released, being the first compact digicam to feature a 10x optical zoom with a such a wide minimum focal length.

Condition notes

We tested this camera and it is working correctly besides the minor zoom switch issue described above. It is in good cosmetic condition with some wear from use and the tiny scratch/cleaning mark described above (the mark was so small we weren’t able to photograph it but see the photos for the general condition).
