The Yashica Imagination Micro AF is a very compact and lightweight 35mm compact camera from the 1990s featuring an autofocus 35mm f4.5 lens.
This is a very easy-to-film camera that’s almost fully automatic. It offers a fill-in flash summary (handy for harsh sunlight or backlit situations); a red-eye flash cancel summary (saves battery life and speeds up operation by skipping the ‘pre-flash’); and a self-timer summary.
Battery information
The camera has the option of using either one CR123 lithium battery (optional) or two AAA batteries (not included). The main advantage of using a CR123 battery is that the flash will recharge more quickly.
Condition Notes
We tested the camera with batteries and film installed (we did not develop the film) and all features are working correctly. In addition we verified the camera’s film plane focus accuracy with an autocollimator. The camera is in good cosmetic condition (see photos) with some wear from use.
Example photos
Here are some photos taken with the nearly identical Imagination Micro AF Plus (it has a panorama mode that’s missing from this camera, but at the time of writing, none of the example photos use this feature): https://www.lomography.com/cameras/3344792-yashica-imagination-af-plus/photos
